The Department of Natural Resources, Parks and Wildlife Board and the Transition Team recognize the critical role employees, stakeholders and the public will play in defining the mission of the Colorado Parks and Wildlife, defining the composition of the new Parks and Wildlife Board and in developing the merger plan. Therefore, a Transition Communication and Participation plan is available which presents the timeline for decisions and the associated opportunities for input. Click here to see the plan. The plan will necessarily evolve as specific dates for decisions and deadlines for input are determined.
Written input is welcome and greatly appreciated. All input received throughout the transition will be compiled, summarized and posted on this site. Input summaries will also be provided directly to the Transition Team, Work Groups, the Parks and Wildlife Board for their review and consideration.

The draft will be discussed by the Colorado Parks and Wildlife Commission on January 13 and a public comment period will be included in the agenda. (The January Commission meeting will be held in Denver at 6060 Broadway, Hunter Education Building.) The plan is set for final adoption by the Commission in February. In order to have feedback considered, all survey responses or other written correspondence must be received no later than January 16.
